Using digital voter education tools and outreach, we will make sure that South Asians Americans in Washington State know who they're voting for, and why they're voting for them. We will publish a South Asian specific focused ballot guide in every electoral cycle, table at community events, and conduct aggressive voter registration efforts to supplement Automatic Voter Registration.
Engagement
We will make sure that candidates for office in Washington State listen to South Asian American voters by holding community-centered candidate forums in key races and electoral districts. We will make sure that keystone races have a signature event centered on the South Asian American voter, and will publish a slate of endorsements in each election cycle, guided by our Focus Areas.
Organizing
The South Asian American community needs to be present in electoral races. We will work with community leaders to mobilize Get Out The Vote and candidate-support efforts from within the community in election years, and regularly organize Voter Advocacy Days in Olympia during each legislative session.
